Purpose - Mechanical Engineers are responsible for translating customer needs into robust mechanical solutions. They define mechanical specifications, design components and systems, perform feasibility analyses and simulations, and ensure cost-effective manufacturability. Their focus lies on the development process, from concept to release, including support during industrialization and ramp-up. Their role includes consulting on design optimization and ensuring high-quality, innovative mechanical solutions. Main Responsibilities - Design and development - Analyze customer requirements and define the mechanical concept in close collaboration with electronics engineering. Design mechanical components and systems using CAD, perform relevant calculations and simulations, and ensure functionality, reliability, and integration within the overall system. Manufacturing consulting - Optimize designs for cost-effective manufacturing. Support internal and external stakeholders with design-for manufacture advice. Troubleshoot issues in production and adjust designs accordingly. Prototyping and Testing - Develop prototypes to validate designs. Collaborate in **** planning, execution, and evaluation of results to refine and optimize mechanical solutions. Technical project management - Collaborate with CST and project teams to ensure timely delivery of mechanical work packages. Align technical feasibility with cost and project goals. Research and innovation - Stay up to date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for innovation and integrate relevant technologies into new or existing products. Develop design in CAD for both detailed parts and master model assemblies. Create 2D drawing for high volume production and inspection methods. Conduct design for manufacturing(DFM) review with suppliers and support tooling bring up. Provide production support to help identify and resolve issues. Key Skills - Mechanical Engineers bring strong expertise in design and development, solid knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods, and cost-effective production. They are proficient in CAD (SolidWorks) and have a good understanding of simulation tools. They work analytically and solution-focused, think in systems, and combine technical know-how with communication and project management skills. A Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree of mechanical engineering or a related field. Above 3-5 years of working experience in the mechanical field. Knowledge of design of plastic injection molded and metal stamping and die-casting parts. Knowledge of common fabrication and manufacturing methods(injection, stamping, die-casting and CNC processing) Proficient in CAD, SolidWorls, NX, ProE and CATIA preferred. Experience in drafting 2D drawing with GD&T and GRR. Basic electrical knowledge is preferred. Highly responsible and possess excellent communication skills.
